Plastec products are made from a polypropylene thermal plastic which is the most resistant material against corrosive gases. Our blowers are ½ the weight and ½ the cost of alternative materials such as fiberglass and stainless steel. They can be mounted on the roof, sidewall or even on the top of the fume hood-see photo 3. If the experts in the manufacture of fume hoods rely on Plastec, why wouldn’t you?
After all, if your hood is made of polypropylene, why would you use an inexpensive steel fan that won’t last and not protect your technicians.
