to 80,000 CFM.

The PLASTEC KUBE is a modular polypropylene manifold system that connects multiple PLASTEC 50 centrifugal fans into a single rooftop unit. Start with one KUBE module — up to 4 fans — and expand by adding modules as your flow requirements grow. All-polypropylene construction, high-velocity discharge, no coatings.

Why PLASTEC KUBE

Engineered for large-scale exhaust.

Large-scale corrosive exhaust projects demand high flow, high velocity, and zero tolerance for corrosion failures. The PLASTEC KUBE delivers all three — all-polypropylene construction from fan inlet to stack discharge, modular capacity that scales to your project, and individual per-fan stacks that maintain the plume dispersion performance your engineers are specifying.

01 / MATERIAL

Polypropylene plenum, end-to-end.

The KUBE plenum is fully fabricated from thick-wall polypropylene. No coatings to degrade, no hot-spots of corrosion failure, no galvanic issues at fan-to-plenum connections. The entire airstream path — from fan inlet to speed-nozzle discharge — stays in PP.

02 / VELOCITY

High-velocity dispersion, preserved at scale.

Unlike dilution-only manifolds, each fan on the KUBE retains its individual stack and optional speed nozzle. You scale total flow without sacrificing the ~3,000 FPM discharge velocity that drives true plume dispersion above the roofline.

03 / INSTALLATION

Supplied with a galvanized roof curb.

The KUBE is supplied with a pre-engineered galvanized roof curb, so the contractor's scope is exactly what they expect: set the curb, land the unit, connect the duct. No field fabrication of the manifold. No custom transitions. No surprises.

04 / WEIGHT

30 to 50% lighter than the alternatives.

Polypropylene construction makes the KUBE significantly lighter than steel, coated steel, or FRP equivalents — starting at 611 lbs for a single-fan unit, and easing structural load requirements, roof curb design, and crane time on every project.

Ideal Applications

Where the KUBE fits.

Wherever corrosive exhaust has to leave a building safely, in volume, and above the roofline — the KUBE was designed for the large-scale projects where single-fan solutions fall short.

Universities & Research

Multi-wing science buildings with dozens of fume hoods on a common rooftop manifold.

Pharma & Biotech

cGMP-driven labs where corrosion-free exhaust and validated plume performance matter.

Hospital & Clinical

Centralized exhaust for pathology, oncology, and specialty labs with critical redundancy.

Industrial Chemical

Acid storage, plating, scrubber discharge — every airstream surface in polypropylene.

FAQ

Common questions.

What fan models are compatible with the KUBE?
[PLACEHOLDER — e.g. The KUBE is compatible with the PLASTEC 35 and PLASTEC 50 centrifugal fan series. All fan sizes within those series can be mixed within a single module.]
Is the roof curb included with the system?
[PLACEHOLDER — e.g. Yes. Each KUBE ships complete with a pre-engineered galvanized steel roof curb sized to the configuration. Curb drawings are included in the submittal package.]
Can I mix PLASTEC 35 and PLASTEC 50 fans on the same KUBE?
[PLACEHOLDER — e.g. No / Yes — confirm with engineering team.]
What is the typical lead time for a KUBE system?
[PLACEHOLDER — e.g. Standard lead time is X–X weeks ARO. Contact the PLASTEC engineering team for project-specific scheduling.]
Is a full submittal package available for specifications?
[PLACEHOLDER — e.g. Yes. Every KUBE order includes CAD drawings, per-fan and manifold performance curves, and roof curb detail drawings. Seismic calculations are available on request. Guide spec language is available on request.]
Can the KUBE be used for indoor applications?
[PLACEHOLDER — confirm with engineering team whether indoor / plenum-rated installation is supported.]
