The PLASTEC KUBE is a modular polypropylene manifold system that connects multiple PLASTEC 50 centrifugal fans into a single rooftop unit. Start with one KUBE module — up to 4 fans — and expand by adding modules as your flow requirements grow. All-polypropylene construction, high-velocity discharge, no coatings.
Large-scale corrosive exhaust projects demand high flow, high velocity, and zero tolerance for corrosion failures. The PLASTEC KUBE delivers all three — all-polypropylene construction from fan inlet to stack discharge, modular capacity that scales to your project, and individual per-fan stacks that maintain the plume dispersion performance your engineers are specifying.
The KUBE plenum is fully fabricated from thick-wall polypropylene. No coatings to degrade, no hot-spots of corrosion failure, no galvanic issues at fan-to-plenum connections. The entire airstream path — from fan inlet to speed-nozzle discharge — stays in PP.
Unlike dilution-only manifolds, each fan on the KUBE retains its individual stack and optional speed nozzle. You scale total flow without sacrificing the ~3,000 FPM discharge velocity that drives true plume dispersion above the roofline.
The KUBE is supplied with a pre-engineered galvanized roof curb, so the contractor's scope is exactly what they expect: set the curb, land the unit, connect the duct. No field fabrication of the manifold. No custom transitions. No surprises.
Polypropylene construction makes the KUBE significantly lighter than steel, coated steel, or FRP equivalents — starting at 611 lbs for a single-fan unit, and easing structural load requirements, roof curb design, and crane time on every project.
Select your base configuration and add modules to match your flow requirements. Enter your target duty point to see required operating speed and exhaust velocity.
Pick your starting configuration, then add modules of the same type to scale up airflow.
Performance shown at 1750 RPM, derived from tested 1-module base units. Multi-module configurations scale flow linearly at matching static pressure (parallel-path assumption). For VFD-based duty point selection or large manifolded systems, confirm with PLASTEC engineering.
Every KUBE is engineered to AMCA-compliant standards and shipped with full submittal packages — including CAD drawings, per-fan and manifold-discharge performance curves, and roof-curb detail drawings.
BACnet / Modbus integration is available as a factory option for BMS-connected installations, and project stack heights and plume dispersion calculations are available on request from the PLASTEC engineering team.
Wherever corrosive exhaust has to leave a building safely, in volume, and above the roofline — the KUBE was designed for the large-scale projects where single-fan solutions fall short.
Multi-wing science buildings with dozens of fume hoods on a common rooftop manifold.
cGMP-driven labs where corrosion-free exhaust and validated plume performance matter.
Centralized exhaust for pathology, oncology, and specialty labs with critical redundancy.
Acid storage, plating, scrubber discharge — every airstream surface in polypropylene.
